You Deserve Better Than a 15-Minute Appointment and a Pamphlet

Here's what the postpartum support system looks like for most American parents:
You give birth. If everything goes well, you get maybe 48 hours in the hospital. A nurse shows you how to latch. Once. If you're lucky, a lactation consultant stops by for 15 minutes between her 30 other patients. You get a pamphlet. Maybe two.
Then you go home.
And suddenly you're alone with a baby who needs to eat every 2-3 hours, a body that's recovering from the most physically intense experience of your life, and a 24/7 Google search bar that gives you 47 conflicting answers to every question.
Is the baby eating enough? The pamphlet says "look for feeding cues." You're looking. You don't know what you're looking at.
Is it normal for this to hurt? One website says yes, always at first. Another says pain means something's wrong. Your mother-in-law says she never had any problems.
Should you supplement with formula? Your pediatrician says it's fine. A breastfeeding forum says it'll destroy your supply. The pamphlet doesn't mention formula at all.
This is the system. It's not broken in some abstract, policy-level way. It's broken in your living room at 3am when your baby is screaming and you don't know if what's happening is normal.
"The gap isn't information. It's personalized support."
There's no shortage of feeding advice on the internet. The problem is that none of it knows YOUR baby. None of it remembers what you tried yesterday. None of it can look at your specific situation and say, "Here's what might be going on, and here are your options."
That's what a great lactation consultant does, but the average parent gets one or two appointments, if they can afford them at all. That's what a knowledgeable friend does — but not everyone has one who's been through it recently.
That gap is why I built Goldie.
Goldie is an AI feeding companion. She remembers your baby's name, their feeding history, your goals, and what you've already tried. She gives you evidence-based information that's specific to your situation. And she does it at 3am, and again at 5am, and again whenever you need her.
She's not a doctor. She's not a replacement for your care team. But she's available in the moments when your care team isn't. Which, if we're being honest, is most of the time.
And she doesn't judge. Breast, formula, combo, pumping, donor milk. Goldie calls it all liquid gold, because it is.
"You deserve more than a pamphlet. You deserve support that actually knows you."
